I tried to run the dishwasher, but instead somehow I flooded the entire kitchen, and half of the basement (including the laundry room and all of the clean laundry). Awesome.
The only reason I did not manage to do the very same thing is the fact that Los Angeles has no basements (and I have no clean laundry, though I did manage to get all the dirty laundry soaked in the rainstorm, which I think is pretty impressive).
Just another month till all these holidays are over and we can go back to normal catastrophes.

What was with yesterday, by the way? My sister-in-law also had a flood. Very strange. I am all for a return to everyday chaos.
COME TO THINK OF IT, I did manage to back up the sink. It didn’t flood, BUT IT COULD HAVE.
